My Story
I didn’t set out to be a photographer - I set out to tell stories.
When I was a teenager, I became a parent. I picked up a camera in high school and started taking pictures of everyone around me… but looking back, there was something missing from the photo albums of my own family. My mom was barely in any of them. She was always the one behind the camera, or avoiding it altogether because she didn’t feel good about how she looked.
And then one day, I realized - I was doing the same thing. Hiding from photos because of self-image issues, convincing myself I’d “get in front of the camera when I lost a little weight” or “looked better.” Years passed. Moments went undocumented. And I can’t get those back.
That’s why I do this work. It’s personal.
I know what it feels like to shrink away from being seen. I know how easy it is for curvy women—especially over 40- to start feeling invisible. And I also know the transformation that happens when you finally have an image of yourself that you love.
When a photo resonates with you, it’s not just a picture- it’s a mirror showing you your worth. It boosts your self-confidence, shifts how you walk into a room, and even changes how you show up with your partner, your kids, your work, and yourself.
